WE MARGIELA worldpremiere
We are thrilled that after Rotterdam the Fashion Museum MoMu in Antwerp and 10 Corso Como in Milan will host exclusive premieres of our film on respectively Monday, October 23rd, and Thursday, October 26th. Starting October 25th, We Margiela will screen in theaters in the Netherlands and Belgium.
We Margiela tells the untold story of the enigmatic and singular fashion house Maison Martin Margiela. For the first time co-founder Jenny Meirens and the members of the creative team that stood at the heart of the house, talk extensively about the creative processes and unique philosophies of the Maison. Their stories, told through detailed and intimate interviews, offer unprecedented insight into the genesis and unravelling of one of the most influential fashion houses of our time.
Ultimately, Maison Martin Margiela was one of the earliest contemporary avant-garde fashion houses to succumb to the pressure of financial growth. After the selling of the house, both founders retired almost immediately from the public eye. Employees and aficionados were left disillusioned. Meirens and Margiela never spoke to one another again.
Co-founder Jenny Meirens died on 1 July 2017. The documentary shows how she remained unseen and unknown to many, yet played a vital role in the creation of the house, its approach, and style. After Meirens’s death, the international media praised her visionary and trailblazing work.
We Margiela is the first feature length documentary about the house of Margiela.
We Margiela is directed and produced by mint film office in co-production with AVROTROS and is supported by the Dutch Media Fund, Cobo Fund, The Netherlands Film Fund and distributed by Cinema Delicatessen.

Dear friends of our gallery,
the divergent tuning of a string instrument was very popular in Salzburg during Mozart`s lifetime. Such uncommon and appealing tunes are united in our Easter-exhibition a groupshow in Salzburg: from the tender "bleu de ciel" of Herbert BRANDL to the midnight blue of the bic pen of Jan FABRE, whose retrospective in the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg set a new visitor record.
An encounter with Yves Klein led Aubertin to his monochrome works. Yves Klein, whose magical blue fascinates and attracts his audience and artists to this day - for instance Jan VOSS, whose fantastic large-sized collage "Site 58" is shown in the exhibition and Madeleine BERKHEMER`sfrivolous "Fruchtschale" (Fruit basket).
During Easter Festival our gallery is open from Monday to Saturday from 11am to 6pm and on Sunday from 11am to 2pm.
A groupshow with Eva SCHLEGEL,Turi SIMETI, Hans BISCHOFFSHAUSEN, Gerard RICHTER, Bernard AUBERTIN and others.
